TAMBOPATA ÑAPE LODGE 3d/2n
We wait for you in the airport “PADRE ALDAMIZ” in puerto Maldonado – TAMBOPATA – PERU. Transportation to the office about 5 minutes , to repack using duffle bag in case you need, transportation to puerto nuevo lacated in the native comunity INFIERNO , aproximately 45 minutes .
Boat ride from puerto nuevo to ñape lodge navigating up river in the tambopata river for about 45 minutes , enjoying the nive view and having lunch on the boat (box lunch) if we have the chance to see something along the river bank we stop to see better and our local guide will explain more in detaill , we have the chance to see capybara the biggest rodden in whole the world . tambopata river come in from puno región.
Once we arrived to the lodge we make the accommodation in the bungallow .
Our first excursión is a jungle walk with the local guide taking one of our trail and then we visit the tower about 40 metres high to enjoy the sunset time and look all the forest level , canopy forest and the tree tops until weather get dark for comming back to the lodge with flash light doing a night walk , looking for tarantulas , frog , cricket ,grasshopper , stick insect.
The next day in the morning after an early breakfast visit the lake tres chimbadas , located 30 minutes up river and then a walk about 30 minutes to get the lake tres chimbadas the we do a ride using a catamarán all around the lake looking for wildlife , like monkey ,hoatzin , neotropic cormorant, black caimán , giant otter those two last especie mentioned now a days are concidered endangered especies , years ago they use to be hunted, way back to the lodge before lunch time.
In the afternoon we visit the etnobotanical garden , located close to the lodge and we talk about medicinal plants but before we finish the tour we taste some tipycal drinks made with medicinal plants. At night enjoy the experience by boat in the river “ cayman search “ the guide will take a spotlight to look for caimans along the river bank.
The last day , the departure day before breakfast early in the morning visit the macaw clay lick , thats located 15 minutes by boat from the lodge , this activity is unique in the rainforest of the amazon basin , parrots and parrakeets flying close to the river bank , this is a salty área and very special and important for them to get the minerals located in the Wall of river bank . then wayback to the losge for breakfast and transportation to the city and the airport where you will get your boarding pass.
